Two companies celebrate oil rig milestones
Five years after creating Rig Works Inc. as an oil rig servicing company, J.W. Brake’s business unveiled its 100th manufactured oil rig, which also was a first for another company.

ODC to review contract on JBS expansion
The Odessa Development Corp. will discuss a $1.6 million contract to help fund the expansion of JBS Parkway into the Industrial Business Park at its meeting Thursday.
The ODC board voted at its April 21 meeting to commit to expand JBS Parkway into the industrial park subject to an acceptable contract.
ODC gets animated
Companies interested in buying property in Odessa’s business and industrial parks can now tour what they’re getting without stepping foot in the city.
The Odessa Development Corp. has produced a new video, which shows animation of several businesses in Odessa, including REXtac LLC and Lufkin Industries. The video, which will be placed on ODC’s website, also promotes available space in the city, with vacant buildings between 10,000 and 200,000 square feet up for use.
