Odessa, TX, is a clean air attainment city. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sets national air quality standards to avoid air pollutant levels that can endanger the health and welfare of the public. There are six areas of measurement - sulfur dioxide, particulate matter, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, ozone, and lead. Areas that meet or exceed these standards are labeled as clean air attainment areas. The people of Odessa are exceptionally proud to be one of these attainment areas!

The Odessa metropolitan area’s aggregate emissions of the six common pollutants have dropped by 70% between 1970 and 2015!
